Circulation Director

The Other Side seeks a full-time Circulation Director. If you are seeking to be part of a supportive work community making a difference in the world and committed to faith rooted in justice, consider joining our team! The position involves supervising the management of our subscriber list by our fulfillment house, overseeing our circulation budget, handling customer service concerns and back issue sales, and approving all use of our subscriber list. The circulation director will also coordinate our annual direct-mail subscription campaign and chair our organizational marketing team. Skills needed for this position include: Strong skills in financial analysis and database management and an ability to multitask. Good attention to detail. Management experience and/or experience in circulation or customer service, preferably in the magazine publishing industry. Knowledge of direct mail, circulation, and other traditional marketing strategies a plus. We’d like the position to begin April 1, 2003 or as soon as possible.

Advertising Manager

The Other Side magazine seeks a part-time Ad Sales Manager. The position is 15 hours a week, with some hours possible from home. Primary responsibility is advertising sales and coordination of our advertising program. Skills needed include: enthusiasm for the mission of The Other Side and a knowledge of The Other Side's general market niche; strong relational and phone skills, ability to work independently, creative salesmanship, and followthrough with details.
