As a community of faith, the congregation of The First Presbyterian and
Trinity Church of South Orange, New Jersey, welcomes all who believe in
Jesus Christ and acknowledge Him Lord and Savior, denying no one full
particpation in its life and leadership on the basis of race, ethnic
origin, worldly condition, age, sex, sexual orientation, or any other
particular element of his or her total humanity. We believe that the
errors of society which have resulted in oppression and despair are not the
ways of God, and we seek not to assume judgment upon our sisters and
brothers in our journey of faith. Instead we seek more light on the ways
in which we can offer our support and our love to all the children of God.
In accordance with this total view, we join with 'More Light' churches and
others seeking fairness, openness, honesty, and the affirmation of all who
declare their membership in the Body of Christ.
