Knowing that all community is a gift of God means that the community of the people of God will be open to all. Because the community itself owes its existence to a gracious gifts, it will be open to these gifts of persons from God. The One whose gift has made our being together possible is the One whose love is fully given to all.

We affirm there can be no exclusiveness about the body of Christ, and we welcome into membership people of God regardless of ethnic heritage, national origin, age, gender, marital status, sexual preference, or socio-economic standing, and we encourage their full participation in all areas of life of our congregation.

Therefore, whosoever desires unity with God and with God's people may come and share the mutual joy, hope and fulfillment of our community of faith at Central Presbyterian Church in the City of New York, as we seek to do God's will and be God's people.
