On February 24, at Stony Point Conference Center, Stony Point New York, Hudson River Presbytery affirmed the 218th General Assembly's Ordination Amendment 08-B by a vote of 94 YES, 12 NO with 1 Abstention.
Spread out across 7 counties and 91 congregations, with more than 15,000 members, Hudson River Presbytery is a community of passionate people. Our many perspectives can challenge us, but our common commitment to the Gospel binds us, and invigorates our lives together.
It takes all of us -- in all of our diversity, and with all of our passions -- to offer a glimpse of God's Kingdom here on earth. So, bring all that you are, and all that you have, and let's join in this journey together. Our Calling: As members of the body of Christ, Hudson River Presbytery is called to live resurrection with passion and partnership in a changing world.

Note about today's presbytery meeting from Rev. Ray Bagnuolo, Minister of the Word and Sacrament, and Board Member, National MLP Board of Directors:
Following a process of small group discussion around three questions:
1. What Biblical themes or passages inform your understanding of ordination?
2. What life experiences affect or inform your understanding of ordination?
3. How will the vote on Amendment 08-B affect the church, those seeking ordination and/or the church's witness in the world?
We broke for lunch. Upon the return, a ballot vote was cast and the outcome:
94 Yes; 12 No; and 1 Abstention
There was no discussion on the floor, and the exchanges in the small groups were thoughtful and considerate. It was a fine discernment process. Please feel free to pass along this good news. Peace, Ray
