Coming Out for More Light Weekend, October 10-11, 2009

You are invited to connect "live" with the National Equality March , Washington, DC at MLP house parties around the country

This National Coming Out Day, October 11, with companion events the day before on October 10, you and your family, church, youth group, campus ministry or seminary community can connect "live" with MLP from the National Equality March.

Plan now to host or co-host a MLP house party on October 10 or 11 in your home, church or neighborhood coffee shop.  Join the national teleconference call with MLP leaders to ask your questions, be part of changing history, and supporting LGBT equality by raising money for MLP outreach across the country.   Michael Adee will be in DC for the National Equality March, so this will be a way for you & your group to connect “live” with the March.

To join in on the national teleconference call from Washington, DC, simply call in on the telephone number that will supplied to each house party host and you'll join the call.  You'll get a in-person glimpse of the March from Michael, be able to ask questions and "make some noise" on the call to show your support for LGBT equality in both Church and society. 

The call-in time will be 8:00 PM - 8:30 PM Eastern on both evenings, October 10 & 11.   Plan your house party according to this time and you'll be able to be on the national call.  And, if your house party is at another day and time, that's fine, too.  We simply say, "party on."

Imagine the solidarity, community-building and fundraising possible by hosting, co-hosting or attending a MLP house party during this historic weekend!  And, the fundraising is easier than ever this year because of a matching grant which doubles every donation given to MLP before the end of the year.  So, if your house party raises $250 for MLP on October 10 or 11, this means you will be raising $500.
