Welcome! On behalf of your National Board of Directors, we welcome you to Reflecting God’s Heart! What a joy it is to be together to celebrate the passage of Amendment 10-A and our Church entering a new era of equality. We believe that G-2.0104 is a blessing for our Church and world. It is our hope and prayer that you will connect with old friends and new, will experience sanctuary and fellowship, and will find inspiration and energy for the work ahead.
The National MLP Board is grateful for the hospitality offered by Third Presbyterian Church in Rochester, NY as the host church and the area churches that are providing support for this Conference.
We want you to know that More Light Presbyterians continues to be committed to spiritual equality, ordination equality and marriage equality for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender Presbyterians and their families.
The work in coming months is to prepare for GA 2012 in Pittsburgh and the time to start thinking and talking about it is now. The first of what we hope will be many overtures to be written and passed. And so the beat goes on as we continue to strive for a Church where all persons are recognized as sacred, where love and faithfulness are what matters most in relationships, where all gifts for ministry are honored, and where the Church calls and works for peace and justice in civil society. Then we can become a Church that more clearly reflects God’s heart.
