We look forward to greeting you in person at the General Assembly. This page will provide you with comprehensive information on joining with MLP in Minneapolis.

There are three ways to join with MLP at the General Assembly:

1. Visit MLP's booth in the Exhibit Hall at the Minneapolis Convention Center. Please see the calendar below for the hours of the Exhibit Hall. MLP will be at booth 201/203. The Minneapolis Convention Center is located at:

2. Visit MLP's Hospitality Suite at the Hilton Minneapolis. The Hospitality Suite is located in Room 1936. All are welcome to relax and enjoy fellowship, share in daily prayers and vespers, refreshments, watch movies, discover new pro-LGBT educational resources and more in the MLP Hospitality Suite.

3. Participate in MLP's events at the Hilton Minneapolis. Please see the calendar below for the times and locations of each event. The deadline for purchasing tickets to MLP Events is June 14 (Tickets may be available on site at GA registration). Please note that no tickets are required for the MLP Reception and Worship Service. Downtown Maps and Transportation

All MLP Events are located either at the Minneapolis Convention Center or the Hilton Minneapolis (See 2 on map).

Arriving: Assemby shuttles will provide transportation from the airport to the the Hilton Minneapolis during peak arrival times: Thursday, July 1, 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m. and Friday, July 2, 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m. Volunteers from the Committee on Local  Arrangements (COLA) will be available in the baggage claim area on Thursday and Friday (July 1 and July 2) and Saturday morning (July 3) to provide assistance and directions to ground transportation.

Departing: Assembly suttles will operate from the convention center to the airport on Saturday, July 10. Shuttles will depart from the convention center every 30 minutes starting at 10:00 a.m., and more frequently when the morning session concludes. The last coaches will depart at 3:00 p.m.

There is light rail from the Minneapolis airport to downtown Minneapolis. The nearest light rail station to the Minneapolis Convention Center and the Hilton Minneapolis is the Nicollet Mall Station.

Friday, July 2

Saturday, July 3

Exhibit Hall Open: 9:15 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Minneapolis Convention Center, Exhibit Hall, Booth 201/203.

Event: MLP Reception: 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Hilton Minneapolis, Ballroom E Foyer.

Start your General Assembly in good company and with hope! All are invited to a national welcoming & affirming Presbyterian celebration reception hosted by More Light Presbyterians. You are invited to the reception whether or not you plan to attend the More Light Presbyterians Celebration dinner which follows.

Event: MLP Dinner: 5:00 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. Hilton Minneapolis, Ballrooms F and G.

The program includes a keynote address by Rev. Rebecca Voelkel, Director, Institute for Welcoming Resources, national awards, legislative priorities for this GA, a Shower of Stoles Project display and Voices of Hope. Please purchase your dinner ticket in advance. We will have space available in the ballroom for people who do not have dinner tickets and want to hear the program.

Sunday July 4

Event: Witness: 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Minneapolis Convention Center, location tbd.

Join us to bear witness to God's love and acceptance of ALL God's children as commissioners, advisory delegates and observers arrive for worship. We will gather outside of the GA worship entrance to greet everyone with positive pro-LGBT signs and joyful songs to remind everyone that God's creation, love & blessing includes God's LGBT children and so should our Church.

Tuesday, July 6

Event: MLP Educational Luncheon: Noon to 2:00 p.m. Hilton Minneapolis, Ballroom A.

"Marriage Equality: Church & State." This educational program will include a panel of Presbyterians personally affected by the definition & restriction of marriage to opposite sex couples only. The panel & attendees will share reflections on the meaning of marriage, the role of the Church, the impact upon couples and children, and why marriage quality matters in both church and state. Educational & pastoral care resources will be shared at the luncheon. Please purchase your lunch tickets in advance. We will have space available in the ballroom for people who do not have luncheon tickets and want to hear the program.

Event: MLP Worship Service: 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Hilton Minneapolis, Ballroom D.

All are welcome to come just as you are and to experience Sanctuary, Celebration and Community in worship of the God who creates, loves and embraces all. Join other open-hearted Christians in welcoming the affirming worship encounter that celebrates all persons as God's children and recognizes the gifts of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender Presbyterians and their families in the life of our Church and the Body of Christ.
