I leave today for Copenhagen, Denmark. I will be doing a workshop at the Second International LGBT Human Rights Conference in Copenhagen as part of the World Out Games 2009. There are 800 activists from 85 countries participating in the conference. I am excited and grateful to be able to share a copy of "All God's Children" our new booklet along with the "Take a New Look" with the full complement of our MLP flyers with those who attend my workshop.
Karen Kavey and the mission outreach team of The Presbyterian Church, Mount Kisko, New York, a welcoming and affirming More Light Church, have shipped "Blue Books" for me to Copenhagen to share with all those who attend the workshop. Imagine the international outreach possible in a conference with representatives from 85 countries.
MLP and our pro-LGBT faith materials are going global.
And, I will be competing in tennis at the World Outgames -- singles, doubles and mixed doubles. Just got my 2 racquets re-strung and re-gripped. I am ready to play!
I am meeting good friends Rob Clark and Jerry Thacker in Copenhagen for the Out Games. So, it will be great to share these experiences with friends.
I hope all of you and those you love are having a wonderful summer.
with hope and grace,
Michael
