Posted Saturday, January 31 2009 @ 08:35 PM by Michael Adee

Today,  January 31, the Presbytery of Cayuga Syracuse voted in favor of Amendment 08-B by a vote of 33 in favor and 12 against.   This information is from Kathleen Waters, Stated Clerk

The Presbytery of Cayuga-Syracuse describes itself as... "a faith community of over 6,100 Christians in forty-two congregations in Central New York State. We are part of the Presbyterian Church (USA), a historic Protestant denomination, and have been a vital part of this region for more than 200 years. Our congregations are engaged in a wide variety of Christian mission and ministry in the communities in which they are located."

Special thanks to all those working to end discrimination against LGBT Presbyterians and their families now in the Presbytery of Cayuga-Syracuse.  You are an inspiration.

We want to alert all of you working in local presbyteries to pass 08-B to prepared for any of the "No Action" efforts in your presbytery and be ready to address them.
